      The great Syracuse poet, Hayden Carruth, said, in a poem written near the end of his life, that he was ‘mostly Love, now.'” For a long time I could not find the poem he mentioned. But a reader who heard about my search found the poem and kindly shared it with me. The following poems have been culled from issues of Longhouse spanning from and still thriving. Needless to say Hayden Carruth was an early supporter and contributor to our pages, often tipping off poets to send us work, stamps and any means of subsistence since we published forever without grants or funding of any kind.
